HOW TO UNDERSTAND HIGHER DIMENSIONS🤠

 

 There is a novel by Edwin abbott abbott called Flatland.The novel takes place in a 2D alternate universe. All the characters in that novel are in shape of circle, triangle and other shapes. In flatland, a triangle see a circle as just a line (1D).This line will get bigger as we get closer to the circle.This line becomes smaller as the circle moves away.So for people in Flatland, they do not have a world above 2D.Now imagine that a sphere, a 3D object, descends steeply to the flatland and goes like that.So someone in Flatland will see a point first.Then that point becomes a larger line.If the line is large enough that half of the sphere is above the flatland and half behind the flatland, that line will be the maximum length.If the sphere goes down again this line will vanish slightly at one point.

  What we have just seen is the projection of the sphere into the 2D world. People in Flatland can never have control over this 3rd dimension. Living in 3D space, we see the world as 2D (without binocular vision). So whoever comes to this world from any other higher dimension we see them as 2D. Suppose an object in 4D (we can not imagine how it is) came into our world. Then we see its projection in the 3D world.Just like the lines getting bigger and smaller in case of flatlanders, we can see that the projection of this object gets bigger and smaller.But we can never visualize 4D directly.

We know that time is the 4th dimension. In that case, when an organism in the 4th dimension comes to our dimension, we can see that the organism changes its own age as it pleases.That is, the age of the creature changes infront of us.Because they have full control over that dimension just as we have control over the 3rd dimension. Similarly, 5th, 6th ... so infinte dimensions can be explained. But many theories limit the dimensions to 10, 11, 26 due to stability reasons. We as 3D beings cannot visualize these dimensions except by doing mathematical calculations.🙂
