ARE ALIENS REAL?

 

1.  Speed of Light — From time immemorial, it has been a scientific fact that of all things that have motion, Light is the one that travels fastest, at an unimaginable speed. But it was not until 1676 that science was able to measure the speed for the first time.

2. It will take a normal aeroplane about 17 hours to travel from one end of the earth to the other in a straight diameter. But it will take Light 0.03 seconds to do the same.

3. It will take the fastest aeroplane in the world (which travels around 3000 km per hour) about 7 years to travel from the Earth to the Sun. It will take normal aeroplane 19 years to do so.  It will take Light only 8 minutes to do the same.

4. Now let’s forget the aeroplane because it is useless inside the Space.  It will take NASA’s ‘Voyager’, 73 thousand years to travel from our Earth to the nearest stars called “Alpha and Proxima Centauri”. And this Voyager is the fastest Spacecraft that travels at 35 thousand miles per hour. 

5. This nearest Star to the Earth, called “Proxima Centauri”, it took its Light 4 years to reach the Earth. While the farthest Star to the Earth, called “Icarus”, it will take its Light about 9 BILLION years to reach the earth. 🥺

6. Meanwhile, the Sun is one million times bigger than the Earth. But, most  of those little Stars we see in the sky are at least 100 times bigger than the Sun. Arcturus Star is one thousand times bigger than the Sun. Betelgeuse Star is one thousand times bigger than the Arcturus. Uy Scuti Star is one thousand times bigger than Betelgeuse. 🥺 Stephenson is about 100 times bigger than Uy Scuti, although Uy Scuti is brighter. Let's not forget the Quasi.

My points!!!

The Observable part of the univers is made up of about Two Trillion Galaxies. Galaxies are systems of dust, gas, dark matter, and anywhere from a million to a trillion stars that are held together by gravity, believed to be generated by a supermassive Black hole at the center.

In our own galaxy, the Milky Way, the sun is just one of about 400 billion stars that spin around a Black hole( Sagittarius A). 

So, the Sun with the 8 known planets is just a single Solar system, out of possible Millions of other Solar systems within our Galaxy.

If there are Millions of Solar systems, within our Galaxy, and there are Trillions of Galaxies in the universe, it is very likely that there other lives and other Worlds out there. We just don't have the necessary Facilities to Travel there. We have a lot to learn.

Mind you, in space, time and distance are measured in Light-year. And there is a phenomenon of Time dilation. 

The post is just to paint a picture of the universe in a way that will be understandable to a Lay person.
